YOUR WORD

At the beginning of every year are you like most people and you wait to hear the "WORD" for the year from the preachers? You know that "WORD" that they say is what the new year will bring. Like 2018 will bring GLORY and you go thru the whole year in crazy wild destruction and GLORY is far from what kind of year you had. So by the end of that year you're just flat out disappointed and asking God what happened my year was NOT filled with GLORY? Well that's because the "WORD" for your year doesn't come from the preachers it comes from God directly. Seek Him for YOUR WORD FOR THE YEAR. Your new year is not the same as other people's we serve an individual God who has different plans for each of us and your journey and level require different things then mine. Listen up I have a little secret to tell you.....NOT EVERY YEAR IS GOING TO BE AN EXCITING WORD. Some years are going to be words like my 2019 was Growth & Learning. Now that doesn't sound like fun at all it sounds kind of painful to me.

Don't get me wrong when your preacher gives a corporate word its to up lift the people and help them to look forward to something that year. God wants us all to have hope and faith through out our next year. Most preacher's are NOT going to stand up and give a corporate word that will get groans of disapproval from their congregation. That doesn't make the corporate word a lie or not from God its just not YOUR WORD.

So seek God this morning on this first day of January and see what He has in store for your 2020. Listen closely and except what he tells you. *Side note just because you don't want to except what He says YOUR WORD is for this year because it doesn't sound exciting doesn't make it any less yours. His will be done NOT yours. Keep that in mind if it's not what you were expecting.

Praying that 2020 brings such greatness that you will never forget it!!
